The protagonist of this series is a farmhouse in San Silvestro, a province of Senigallia and set on a hillside. Giacomelli photographed the farmhouse throughout the changes of season, across the years, tracing the evolution of the Marchigian landscape. The farmhouse remains the same while everything around it is changing. It is a steadfast symbol that derives its power from existing outside the reach of space and time. Memory is stored within its four walls.
